This waste basket has a cheap, tinny feel to it and is not painted well. In particular, on my basket, the black stripe around the rim is poorly painted and I’ll have to retouch it myself in order to have it look right. I’ll keep it, to save the hassle of a return, but given the cost I suggest that you spend your money on a different waste basket.

I like this waste basket except it doesn’t much the tone of the other items in its line. It has a darker cream color. Anyway, I like the classic design.

This was a wonderful find at a very attractive price. It fits in perfectly with the bathroom we restored in our 1935 home. We did a black-and-white theme with subway tile, clawfoot tub, etc and this waste basket just fits right in.

Very handsome line all around (also got the towels and tissue box), but here’s what I don’t get. If the line is “America Retold Apothecary White,” why are these reproductions of BELGIAN apothecaries? Not that there’s, uhh, anything wrong with that, but where, oh where, is the logic in this one? They couldn’t find a nice American establishment to reproduce? Not one? What about Bigelow Chemists in New York?
